PMK on PM Blogsphere

Today I was Googling for some stuff and got surprised to see my name in some blogs and checked them out.
I would like to mention 2 major ones.
The first one is Mr.Paul Ritchie's PM blog "Crossderry" .Mr.Ritchie is Head of Global Project Management Operations at SAP. He is discussing about my article on skills of Project Managers, here.

My blogger friend Alec has mentioned about my blog and my recent presence in 'Twitter' here. He has mentioned me under "Project Managers to follow in Twitter" along with Raven.
{ I think , I should also write something on Twitter and Tweets ;) }

Thanks Ritch and Alec for linking to my blog.

Somashree Bhattacharya interviews me on her blog

Young aspiring project manager and promising PM blogger Somashree "Soma" Bhattacharya was generous in posting some good words about me & my blog. She interviewed me and the same has been posted in her blog.
It was a great surprise to note that she is a regular reader of PM Karma and never missed any of the article published!

Recently I have received a CV from a candidate for the position of Planning engineer in my organisation and I was amazed to see "4D Graphing Techniques for KPI visualisation" as one of the skill mentioned. If you are readers of my blog , you may be aware that this term was coined by me in one of my previous articles. It is good to see that some people are making use of the stuff which I am publishing !

PM Karma Community

Dear fellow PM bloggers !
It is my greatest pleasure to roll out the 'PM Karma' community. It is aimed at forming a friendly and collaborative group of PM enthusiasts who share our knowledge and contribute to each other's professional growth. Basically this will be a group of PM bloggers , who are linked to me (and linked by me). We will  be actively discussing on the topics of our interest (which we publish through our blogs). Effectively , this will increase the traffic and visibility of our blogs and will also help us to know each other more. This will help us to share information, help each other in making our jobs better (or a better job !).
How to join PM Karma Community (PMKC):
Its' easy , just comment below this post & I will add you to the community. Please provide the following info as well:

  2. Your profile link
  3. Your blog / web address
You are also requested to provide a link in your blog to mine (How ever this is not a mandatory requirement to join the community. But it is highly recommended since we will keep informed about each others postings, thus keeping our community closely connected)

PM Karma Link Exchange Initiative

Dear Readers,
At the outset , let me thank each and every one of you for your support and inspiration. My vision while launching this blog was to share the bits and pieces of knowledge which I have gained from my Project Management profession and through reading and acquire additional knowledge by collaborating with other PM bloggers.
I also aimed at forming a community of people who are interested and believe in the 'Value' of project management. It will be my all time effort to expand this community by 'Linking to' and 'Linked by' other PM bloggers.
Its my pleasure to roll out the 'PM Karma Link Exchange Initiative' today

How to Link?
Its easy, if you have a website or blog. You may add 'PM Karma' Some where under your menu structure (Example: "Favourite Blogs", "Links", "Blog Roll" ..etc)
You may find some of the fellow bloggers have already linked their blog with mine.
(Also check out the PM Karma Community initiative here )
Once you become the PM Karma community member , you may use the PMKC logo on your site which link to http://pmkarma.blogspot.com/
Requesting PM bloggers to make this initiative a grand success by providing PM Karma link in your blog.

Thank you,

Sreejith

Thank you for your support!

Dear readers,
PM karma was launched 1 1/2 months back in the first week of July with an intension of  sharing the bits and pieces of knowledge I have collected in my career through experience and reading. It aimed at collaborating with peoples of similar interests world wide. After 45 days of its existence , I am very happy to announce that it has really gone global. People from almost 23 countries have visited the site in less than 1.5 months ! I think this is a remarkable achievement with out any publicity initiatives or search engine optimisation (SEO).
Its nothing but your whole hearted support which motivates me for writing more. Well , it also motivates me to do little bit research and reading in my free time to contribute to this blog.
But I am slightly unhappy with the number of comments , which just count 4 ! I would honestly like to know how you feel about my writing and the topics discussed. You can also request for new topics or tag me to comment on something.
Anyway , thanks for coming & do come again !
Cheers !

Welcome to PM Karma!

Dear fellow project managers!
Welcome to 'PM Karma'.
PM Karma is short form of 'Project Management Karma'.
'Karma' is a Sanskrit (Ancient Indian language and the first ever language on earth) word , which means 'Deed'.
Since we all being wedded to the profession of project management , our basic 'Karma' is nothing but manage the projects assigned to us in the most professional and productive manner , delivering maximum benefits to the stake holders.
In this forum , I want to share my knowledge areas related to project management and specifically regarding my interest area 'Project planning, monitoring and control'
This blog is going to benefit all those who are associated with project management or even general business management. Today's organisations are getting transformed to 'Project centric' of 'projectised' from being 'Functional Oriented' .Project centric organisations are found to be more effective in delivering business goals with in the specified time limit and budget , than 'Functional Oriented' organisations which rely up on the traditional 'functional path' or 'Organograms'.
We wont be discussing anything which you can easily find in other online resources or books. I hate 'inventing the wheel again' ! How ever I will refer to the PM standards and practices followed world wide.
I am more focussed on discussing 'Industry Oriented' , 'Real life applications' and 'Commonly followed practices'.
Over the years I have found people discussing big 'Fundas' , but never used them atleast once in their lives !
So all the theory we mugged in the university or Project Management seminars , wont be practically used 'as such' .. but we will always use lighter or customised versions of such practices in our daily business operations.

So welcome to a whole new 'Practical oriented' PM blogging ..
Enjoy your stay and keep visiting !

Thanks!
